Research Interests

My research interests are

  • (Fine-Grained) Complexity Theory
  • Enumeration Algorithms
  • Graph theory and algorithms

See my Research Page for more details and an introduction to my work.

Talks

Besides regular talks in the research seminar of the Algorithm Engineering group and the research school on Data Science and Engineering, I had the opportunity to present my work at OR and WEPA.

Teaching

As Advisor

As Lecturer

  • Theoretische Informatik (co-Lecturer '23/24, '24)
  • Programming I at BHT ('23)
  • Webprogramming with Python at BHT ('23)
  • Communication Complexity ('21/22)
  • Scientific Writing (as part of the Bachelor Projects '20/21, '21/22, '22/23, '23/24)

As Teaching Assistant

As Tutor

Other Activities

Both within and outside the HPI, I support young IT talents in learning how to solve problems with computer science, for example in the HPI Youth Academy, the BWINF (Bundeswettbewerb Informatik), at Deutsche SchülerAkademie and GamesTalente. Mostly I develop and give workshops and courses for students, but I also enjoy to exchange know-how with teachers, review submissions for the BWINF, or to advertise studying computer science.

In my free time I conduct and sing in HPI's very own a cappella ensemble "Source Chord", make music on several instruments, and volunteer as instructor, paramedic and lifeguard in the DLRG Potsdam.
