The international Symposium on Big Data in Medicine at the Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI) in Potsdam will focus on Big Data as a game-changer for healthcare.
Big Data is likely to have a groundbreaking effect in all areas – from health service to population health management and from prevention to treatment and care. Yet, though there are many positive effects to be expected, numerous questions also arise: How will the way doctors and hospitals work change in future? What new questions arise for patients with Big Data – for example, how can the loud call for data security be answered?
The symposium is being organized by HPI and HIMSS IMPACT and will provide concrete information on some of the key challenges in the field as well as best practices. Delegates will also learn about and discuss the new Healthcare requirements.
