In our research clusters Systems, Data and AI and Foundations, Digital Health and Security (setup in progress), researchers from several disciplines work together on questions that contribute to solving societal challenges.
The cluster Systems is concerned with the analysis and design of application-based and service-oriented system architectures as well as their implementation and use.
The research cluster Data and AI focuses on methods for the analysis, processing, integration and application of large data sets for prediction and automation. The development of modern and energy-efficient AI methods plays a significant role here.
The Foundations cluster is dedicated to the fundamentals of complex IT systems. This includes systems modeling, mathematical and algorithmic foundations, underlying business processes, and innovation research.
In the Digital Health cluster, patient-centered and data-driven methods and processes are investigated in interdisciplinary research in order to advance digital technologies in medicine and healthcare.
The Security cluster, which is currently being established, is concerned with the theoretical and technical fundamentals, attack detection, as well as the development of strategies to defend against cyber attacks on IT infrastructures.
