Abstract  - AI-based tools like GitHub CoPilot and OpenAI ChatGPT created new opportunities and challenges for the automation of software engineering tasks. Based on our current research on causal and sequential decision models for task allocation and model-based software engineering, we discussed the state-of-the-art in three promising use cases: code clones detection, code completion, and code generation.
