The Hasso Plattner Institute offers a practically-oriented computer science study program at an internationally recognized institute. This study includes the Germany-wide unique IT-Systems Engineering program and the five master programs Cybersecurity, Data Engineering, Digital Health, IT-Systems Engineering and Software Systems Engineering.

The Hasso Plattner Institute has educational programs for both high school students and working professionals. It operates its own IT learning platform - openHPI - which provides free online courses. The bachelor’s degree program in IT-Systems Engineering starts every year. The next opportunity to begin the program is in the upcoming winter semester. The team of the student advisory service helps with all questions concerning the application.
Application procedure
Applications for the bachelor's degree program IT-Systems Engineering are submitted via the University of Potsdam. In the winter semester of 2023/2024, the University of Potsdam will coordinate the allocation of study places via the dialog-oriented service procedure of the Foundation for University Admission. A prior registration at www.hochschulstart.de is therefore necessary before applying online at the University of Potsdam. You can find further information on the application pages of the Student Office of the University of Potsdam (German only). The University changed the application procedure to a purely online process, i.e. no submission of documents by mail is required. All required documents are to be uploaded in the study place portal.

from June 1st until July 15th

The application for a bachelor's degree is only possible within the application deadlines. Your application must be submitted in the requested form by the end of the application period.
Application and subsequent submission of documents will no longer be possible after the deadline.
