The Computational Genomics department, headed by Prof. Dr. Helene Kretzmer, develops and applies methods for analyzing large, multimodal sequencing data sets. The department's focus is on epigenetic genome regulation, aiming to investigate the causes and consequences of regulatory changes in the genome to develop classification methods and potential therapeutic approaches.
