Young Researcher Crypto Seminar YRCS 2026/1

Our group hosted the 11th edition of the Young Researcher Crypto Seminar.

Led by PhD students Karla Friedrichs, Cavit Özbay, Andrey Sidorenko, and assistant Mélanie Angoujard, HPI welcomed 47 participants from 4 countries.

Two days full of talks allowed PhD students and PostDocs to share their research in a supportive environment.

YRCS is organized biannually at German universities and  brings together cryptographers in the first years of their career, fostering a European cryptographic community.

And the event is growing: the HPI edition of YRCS had a record number of participants, and added for the first time a "rump session" - a late-day session of light-hearted talks traditional to cryptographic conferences.
