On the 2nd of February, Alberto Lerner will visit HPI to give a lecture about the gap between academic and commercial code. Alberto is a Senior Researcher at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, at the eXascale Infolab. Previously, he worked in different research groups at IBM and the Database industry at Google and MongoDB. Alberto got his Ph.D. at Ecole Normale Superieure de Telecommunications in Paris (now Paris Tech), and his research interests revolve around non-conventional database systems.
