Pandemic Pathways: Learning for Innovation in Government, Education, and Organisations

PI: Prof. Dr. Christoph Meinel

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has disrupted societies globally. In 2022, we will shift into a new pandemic context: Economic recoveries are projected to diverge across countries and sectors. While some organizations, industries, and educational bodies are thus continuing strategies of frugal innovation, others might enter a post-pandemic innovation boom. In this research project, we empirically explore the difficulties and solution strategies in three realms (educational, governmental, and organisational) with regard to design (thinking) and innovation behaviour. Results will help practitioners in these fields to spot and change environmental factors that aid or hinder digital communication and innovation behaviour. Our goal is to offer tangible deliverables such as training formats and visualized data outcomes that will help practitioners in their respective contexts to facilitate further innovation strategies.
