Thomas studied educational science with a focus on adult education in Regensburg where he received his bachelor degree. He continued his studies in Education & Media-eEducation at the Distance University of Hagen and completed his master’s degree. Thomas is also an alumni of the HPI School of Design Thinking where he finished his Advanced Track in 2013. He joined the HPI-Stanford Design Thinking Research Program in December 2014 as a student assistant to combine his research interests in digital learning environments and Design Thinking. In February 2016 he received a PhD scholarship to continue his research in the project.
