Addressing real problems with real challenges in our Academic Programs
We don't limit ourselves by barriers. We try to overcome them by building new tools, bringing in new ideas, and solving complex problems. In the d-school Academic Program, students and young professionals learn the basics of Design Thinking. The additional course of study is certified and officially recognized. Our Design Thinking Studios build on this basic knowledge of Design Thinking and deepen the methodological tools for Design Thinking in broader topics such as sustainability, open innovation, digital health, and others. This means you can make an essential contribution to shaping our future.

Constant upskilling with our Professional Development
The HPI d-school – Professional Development is one of the leading providers of continuing education and certification for professionals in Design Thinking, innovation, digital transformation, and tech leadership. We impart knowledge and know-how to individuals and teams so that they can develop innovative products, services, or strategies to achieve impact. Our training courses provide you with the mindset and methods to successfully design and manage innovation, change, and transformation processes yourself. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive program to train Design Thinking coaches and certify the coaching skills they have acquired.

Research and study Design Thinking and innovation
Every year, participants from numerous nations, universities, and disciplines come to the HPI School of Design Thinking or participate remotely in Design Thinking programs and research projects. More than half of the DAX30 companies have already attended the HPI d-school. As part of the SUGAR network and the initiator of the Global Design Thinking Alliance (GDTA), we support people in connecting and promoting exchanges between Design Thinking schools, among others, in Egypt, Malaysia, and South Africa.
