Multidisciplinary research teams from Stanford University and HPI work on diverse topics concerned with Design Thinking, its process, method, interaction patterns and tools in order to investigate the phenomena of innovation.

Andrea Scheer

Andrea Scheer is a PhD candidate at the faculty of human sciences of the University of Potsdam, Germany. She holds a Master degree in education and lingusitics. Her dissertation contributes to the cognitive sciences and focusses on human interaction and knowledge organization in multidisciplinary teams. Furthermore, Andrea is program manager of the BioThinking program at the Berlin-Brandenburg School for Regenerative Therapies, University Hospital Charité Berlin. The BioThinking program supports collaborative research in the Life Sciences with an adapted design thinking approach. Complementing research that concentrates on the impact of team interaction and innovation in a business context,  Andrea combines her work and research interests in order to evaluate and validate interdisciplinary teamwork and knowledge creation processes in an academic contexts.

Hybrid Book Launch

BOOK LAUNCH 13

On September 14,  2022 the HPDTRP researchers gathered in D-Space to celebrate the publication of "Design Thinking Research: Achieving Real Innovation,” the newest publication in the Springer series: Understanding Innovation. Professor Meinel initiated a toast to honor the hard work of all researchers. Contributing authors from HPI and from Stanford University had a lively exchange regarding the new publication and many other topics. Such events help keep ties within the community strong.
