Head of Professional Development

As Head of Professional Development, I am responsible for the strategic and operational management and leadership of the professional development business unit at the HPI d-school. We offer further trainings for professionals and organizations at the intersection of human and technology.

Prior to this, I was Head of Leadership for Innovation and Agility at the HPI Academy, with a special focus on customized leadership formats and cooperation with world-class business schools like HEC, ESMT, and London Business School. Together with my team I developed and ran leadership formats such as Leadership for Innovation and Agility, Navigating Uncertainty (Training with Virtual Reality Game), Design Thinking and Corporate Change, Strategic Visioning, Individual Leadership Coaching, Leading High Performance Teams and Masterclasses on Intrapreneurship.

Before that, I was responsible as Program Lead for Corporate Innovation for developing and coaching formats to bring human-centered innovation and Design Thinking into organizations. We focused on Design Thinking Implementation, Agile Leadership, Agile Innovation Management, Innovation Strategy as well as Masterclasses and Train the Trainer formats in our Design Thinking Coach Certification Program and Method Deep Dives like User Research.

I have been developing, leading and coaching innovation formats and projects for professionals as well as coaching students at the HPI d-school. I have accompanied many organizations from various industries and different sizes in their transformation to innovate more human-centered and to work agile.

It is crucial for me to bring valuable insights into my professional education work and to practice what you teach. To make that happen I made my own entrepreneurial experiences as co-founder of an innovators network and of TQ.Digital an app for evaluating the future readiness of companies. I have been working as freelance innovation and personal development coach for over 16 years. Here I had the opportunity to develop female leadership programmes for innovation and change management, run courses on negotiation and non-verbal communication. I am certified in the facial action coding system and created trainings for the analysis of non-verbal communication for police, detectives, coaches, executives & thriller authors. I dived into many user research projects starting with the exploration of user needs, data synthesis, UX/UI testing together with design teams and MVP testings. For the Mahler Chamber Orchestra I did audience research in Europe and Audience Development. Moreover I worked as a lecturer, researcher and innovation coach at SRH Hochschule für Kommunikation und Design, Hochschule für Medien, Kommunikation und Wirtschaft, the Erich Pommer Institut and the University of the Arts Berlin.

Curiosity flows through my blood. I have always been curious about humans and the intersections fields of expertise. 25 years ago, I started as a journalist and learned to listen, to understand and to have empathy for human needs and challenges. I studied communication and media research, psychology and anglistic linguistics at the Friedrich-Schiller Universität Jena. After that I worked for six years as a lecturer, researcher and innovation coach at the University of the Arts Berlin in the study field of communication in economic and social contexts. There I build a multi-method user research lab from scratch and co-designed new BA and MA programs and coached innovation teams.
