SAPPHIRE NOW 2015 in Orlando

The HPI presented latest research at the SAPPHIRE NOW 2015 Conference from May 5-7 in Orlando, Florida, demonstrating concepts and future software solutions to SAP customers around the world.

Our research group contributed four projects and a live demo in Prof. Plattner's keynote speech.

While the Business Simulator, the Interactive Tactic-Board and the Surveillance Outbreak and Response System were shown at the HPI booth, Martin Boissier and Carsten Meyer had the chance to present their project -HANA Load Simulator- live on stage during Prof. Hasso Plattner's keynote speech.

Thousands of SAP customers in the fully occupied Orange County Convention Center and watchers of the live stream saw the impact of actual / historical data optimization for SAP HANA in terms of increased database performance and reduced overall system load.

Literature

"A Course in In-Memory Data Management" by Prof. Dr. h.c. Hasso Plattner. This book is the culmination of six years work of in-memory research. As such, it provides the technical foundation for combined transactional and analytical workloads inside one single database as well as examples of new applications that are now possible given the availability of the new technology. The book is available at Springer.
