Our paper "Ebola Outbreak Containment: Real-Time Task and Resource Coordination with SORMAS" (Perscheid et al.) has been published in the journal Frontiers in ICT! It covers the technical aspects of the Surveillance Outbreak Response Management and Analysis System (SORMAS), a system we built in cooperation with the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (HZI), Robert Koch Institute (RKI), Bernhard Nocht Institute (BNI), SAP, and the Nigerian Field Epidemiology Laboratory Training Program (NFELTP) to help Nigeria efficiently fight infectious diseases like Ebola. The project has meanwhile turned into open-source (SORMAS-open), is under active development and currently rolled out in Nigeria.
