Global Team-Based Innovation - Coaching Research

Introduction

This seminar provides former participants of the seminar Global Team-based Innovation I & II  with the possibility to take an active role as a coach in this year's projects and convey their experiences to the new teams. Participants are expected to provide the project teams with input on the following topics:

  • Communication with project partners
  • Collaboration infrastructure
  • Design Thinking process
  • User research
  • Prototyping
  • Ideation
  • Feedback with regard to content
  • ...

Prerequisites

Having attended a complete project of the seminar "Global Team-based Innovation" or "Global Team-based Product Innovation & Engineering".

Grading

Participants are expected to actively take part in at least 2 of the weekly course meetings. Additionally, participants will plan and execute a coaching session with one of the teams of the parallel Global Team-Based Innovation seminar. The duration for a coaching session should be 3 hours. Afterwards, the session will be evaluated by answering a provided questionnaire and documenting observations. The grade of the seminar will be determined by

  • Presentation of the coaching session's topic (30%)
  • Execution of the coaching session (30%)
  • Documentation of the coaching session (10%)
  • Engagement during course meetings (30%)

 

Meeting

We will have an initial meeting on October 19th at 1:30 pm in the Villa Campus II
