SMBM is held every second year in Europe and was organized by Dr. Mariana Neves who is a senior researcher focusing on Natural Language Processing at our chair. About 25 international researchers gathered to present their recent findings in data mining in biomedicine. Among them were the two keynote speakers Ulf Leser (Humboldt University Berlin) and Laura Furlong (Hospital del Mar. Medical Research Institute, Madrid).
