Our PhD students Stefan Klauck and Jan Kossmann presented the Hasso Plattner Institute and our research group at the SAP technology event TechEd from September 19th to 22nd in Las Vegas, Nevada.
They talked to event visitors at the shared booth with SAP Next-Gen Labs, won the DataGenious Viz-a-Thron, and gave well-visited presentations about columnar in-memory database systems. Stefan discussed a partitioning concept for current and historical data. Jan explained how in-memory databases impact modern enterprise systems.
