We are happy to announce that our paper "InnoDev Workshop: A One Day Introduction to Combining Design Thinking, Lean Startup and Agile Software Development" by Franziska Dobrigkeit, Danielly de Paula from the Chair of Design Thinking and Innovation Research of Prof. Dr Falk Uebernickel and Dr. Noel Carroll from the Lero Research Centre at NUI Galway has won the Best Paper Award at the 32nd IEEE International Conference for Software Engineering Education & Training (CSEE&T 2020).
The paper introduces and evaluates a one-day workshop to introduce the basics of three innovative frameworks and how to combine them in one software development process. Specifically, this article describes the workshop format and reports on the participants perceptions of the combined approach and the workshop experience. Overall participants had a positive experience in our workshop, became aware of new tools and techniques for software development, and perceived the combination of three innovation approaches as applicable and beneficial within their companies.
