With beginning of May, Dr. Michael Perscheid is becoming the new Chair Representative at the chair of Prof. Dr. Hasso Plattner at the Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI) for Digital Engineering, University of Potsdam.

With the change, we also must say goodbye to Dr. Matthias Uflacker who will rejoin SAP and take care of academic partnerships out of SAP Labs Munich. We want to thank Matthias for all his dedication and hard work for the Enterprise Platform and Integration Concepts group. We will stay close connected on all our research topics. 

Michael has a long-standing relationship with the HPI starting with studying software engineering and doing his PhD here. After joining SAP in 2014, he still was responsible for multiple cooperation with the HPI ranging from research projects, representing SAP at university events, as well being responsible for the HPI FutureSOC Lab. At SAP, Michael was responsible for all kinds of strategic and chairman projects such as preparation of Sapphire and TechEd keynotes, building key strategic projects, or supporting all kinds of Executive requests. In doing so, he could also build up a close connection with Prof. Plattner which made him a natural fit for this position.
