Global Team-Based Innovation - Coaching Research

Introduction

This seminar provides former participants of the seminar Global Team-based Innovation I & II  with the possibility to take an active role as a coach in this year's projects and convey their experiences to the new teams. Participants are expected to provide the project teams with input on the following topics:

  • Communication with project partners
  • Collaboration infrastructure
  • Design Thinking process
  • User research
  • Prototyping
  • Ideation
  • Testing
  • Presentation
  • ...

Prerequisites

Having attended a complete project of the seminar "Global Team-based Innovation" or "Global Team-based Product Innovation & Engineering".

Grading

Participants are expected to present a selected topic in one of the weekly course meetings. Additionally, participants will plan and execute a coaching session on the selected topic with one of the teams of the parallel Global Team-Based Innovation seminar. Overall duration of the presentation and coaching session should be 2 hours. Afterwards, the session will be evaluated by answering a provided questionnaire and participants are requested to provide a one-pager on their topic. The grade of the seminar will be determined by

  • Presentation of the coaching session's topic (40%)
  • Execution of the coaching session (40%)
  • One-pager on the coaching session's topic (20%)

Meeting

We will have an initial meeting on 17.10.2019 at 3:15 pm in D-E 9/10 Campus II
