Once a semester, the HPI D-School opens its doors on the campus of the Hasso Plattner Institute to interested visitors. But this summer semester everything is different. Our innovative workshop areas are abandoned, students and whiteboards have moved to the digital space.
Nevertheless, we would like to give interested people the opportunity to learn more about Design Thinking and our academic programs. Therefore, we would like to invite you to the first virtual Open House at the HPI D-School, which will take place on 17 June 2020 from 3 pm online via the video conferencing tool Zoom.
The virtual Open House program
For the virtual Open House we put together an interesting program for you. Our program managers will present our academic Design Thinking programs for students and graduates. You will receive all relevant information about the application process, the study contents and our current projects.
Interested organizations can also find out how they can become project partners at the HPI D-School and work together with our students on a real challenge from their practical experience.
In "Hangout Sessions" with the HPI D-School team and current students, we will answer your questions about Design Thinking and studying at the HPI D-School. Moreover, we will design an interactive online activity for you.
Through our social media channels, we take you into the HPI D-School building in Potsdam and give you a glimpse into our special learning environment on a virtual tour.

Participation on 17 June 2020
The virtual Open House takes place via the Zoom tool. We recommend that you register for Zoom. Without registration, Zoom is available via an app. You can join the respective online event via a link.
All registered participants will receive the link to the online event 15 minutes before the start of the meeting via email. In this way, we want to prevent the abuse of the link.
We will also stream the presentations of the programs live on our social media channels. If you would like to participate in the hangout sessions and the interactive online session, please register and log in to Zoom.
