July: At a festive opening ceremony, the first class of D-School students presents the results of their 12-week projects that have been conducted together with external partners. The project partners were: Grundy UFA, betterplace Foundation, Immobilienscout 24 and Bundesagentur für Arbeit, BAUM e.V. (Bundesdeutscher Arbeitskreis für Umweltbewusstes Management), Lernmobil and Special Olympics Berlin, Deutsche Messe, Siemens Building Technologies and Vattenfall Europe, Bundesdruckerei and T-Mobile Creation Center Berlin
November: The HPI School of Design Thinking starts a cooperation with Openlab in Stockholm, Sweden. Openlab is a research and educational collaboration, where students and researchers at Karolinska Institutet, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm University and Södertörn University will take on challenges that the City of Stockholm, Stockholm County Council and the County Administrative Board are facing.
