Time flies when you’re having fun – the winter term has come to an end way too quickly and after weeks of working hard on their projects, it was time for our Basic and Advance Track students to present their final solutions of the challenges.

In the Basic Track students worked with project partners like start-ups MyActivities and Sorglos Internet as well as Stiftung Männergesundheit, the Vocational Training Center Oberlinhaus, Schüler & Paten from Berlin, the Berlin-Brandenburg Center for Regenerative Therapies (BCRT), Consultancy Jan Schröder and loopline Systems. The project partners came to D-School with challenges like „Redesign the next conference experience in life sciences for young researchers“, „Define topics and questions men are facing concerning health issues in order to define new messages for promoting a non-profit health oranization“ or “Design the touchpoint experience for young people to motivate them to think, share and execute their dreams and life goals on a social network” among others. The students kicked-off the presentations of their 6-week projects with one-minute pitches, followed by the final solutions in longer presentations. Afterwards the teams and project partners kept on discussing the presented ideas together in the respective team spaces. You can find photos of the presentations in our Facebook album.

One week later, the Advanced Track students presented their prototypes to the project partners, among them were NordLB, TollCollect and the HPI this winter term. They brought challenges from the fields of Home Banking, Start-Up Funding, Corporate Education and Online Education for the teams to work on. You can find photos from the Advance Track finals on Facebook.

Some figures at the end: this winter term the 124 participants of the Design Thinking program came from 23 nations, over 70 different disciplines and more than 60 Universities from all over the world.
