Equipped with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Charissa naturally gravitates towards working with people, understanding motivations and wanting to create positive impact. Prior to coaching Design Thinking, she gained experience in learning and development through creating content and delivering soft skill programmes (memory, time management, goal setting, etc.) at a Malaysian learning institute.
In 2015, she was certified as an Innovation Ambassador Development Programme (IADP) at d.school Malaysia. This led to her becoming a full-time Design Thinking Coach at d.school Malaysia and her eventual involvement with HPI D-School. Her experience includes coaching and leading programmes for various cohorts from both the public and private sectors through design-driven innovation projects, organisation-wide cultural transformations and talent acceleration programmes.
In pursuit of expanding her skillset and diversifying her experience, she currently serves as a Digital Client Product Manager for a global insurance organisation. Thus, further enhancing her know-how in user experience, stakeholder management and digitalisation - aspects which she hopes will evolve her coaching approach as she continues contributing to the Design Thinking community at large.
