Prof. Dr. Katharina Hölzle
Prof. Dr. Katharina Hoelzle, MBA is Professor for Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship at the University of Potsdam since May 2011. Prior to this position she held the Deutsche Telekom chair for leadership and organizational models for innovation management at the Technische Universität Berlin, Germany.
She teaches innovation, project and technology management at the bachelor, master and executive level at the University of Potsdam, the Technische Universität Berlin and several other German and international universities. Katharina is a coach at the HPI School of Design Thinking since 2009. Before returning to university for her PhD, she had worked in the semiconductor, strategic consulting, and eBusiness industry for several years. She has published various articles in the field of relationship marketing, innovation management, and project management in leading scholarly and practitioners’ journals. Katharina holds a PhD from the Technische Universität of Berlin, a diploma in business engineering from the University of Karlsruhe and an MBA from the University of Georgia, Athens, Georgia.
In her research fields she looks into barriers to innovation and the innovative behaviour of employees, user integration in the innovation process, strategic foresight, and Open Innovation. She also consults young and established companies in the field of technology-driven business model innovation, digitalisation, strategic technology and innovation management.
