In August 2012 Malaysia's first innovation school "Genovasi" opened in Kuala Lumpur.
 

The HPI School of Design Thinking has been instrumental in the development of the government-backed Design Thinking program.

At Genovasi Malaysian students work on challenges focusing on education, medicine, business and the environment in a wide variety of innovation projects.
 

The HPI D-School supported Kuala Lumpur in coaching-related issues, in the collaborative work with the project partners and in the design of the premises.
