D-Flect with Prof. Dr. Falk Uebernickel on 2nd December

We are happy to invite you to our upcoming D-Flect session, which will take place on Monday, December 2, 2019 at the HPI School of Design Thinking. This time we look forward to welcoming Prof. Dr. Falk Uebernickel, Chair of the Design Thinking and Business Innovation research group at Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI).

 

 

The “Design Thinking and Innovation Research” research group is investigating methods and approaches on how the application of human-centered design (HCD) is leading to sustainable business innovations in a corporate context. Special focus is on software-driven product, service and process innovations.

Relevant research topics include methods for better quantification of human-centered design, the management of Design Thinking and HCD in corporations and associations as well as the connection between HCD, Design Thinking and new technologies like artificial intelligence (AI).

About Falk Uebernickel

Prof. Dr. Falk Uebernickel is Chair of Design Thinking and Business Innovation at HPI. Prior to his position at HPI he was adjunct professor at the University of St. Gallen. He received his PhD in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen with focus in IT performance management and controlling. Over the last ten years, Falk has been training students and practitioners worldwide in using Design Thinking as a mind- and toolset to solve wicked problems in a human-centered way. Falk is also Co-Chair of the SUGAR network, a global initiative of over 20 universities and more than 100 companies to apply Design Thinking to real-world problems.
