Book presentation "Design Thinking in der Bildung: Innovation kann man lernen" on November 9th, 2021
HPI Director Prof. Christoph Meinel and Dr. Timm Krohn, CEO of the HPI Academy, present the new anthology "Design Thinking in der Bildung: Innovation kann man lernen (Design Thinking in Education: Innovation can be learned)" together with contributing authors and discuss the potential the innovation approach has in education.
Design Thinking in Education
Design Thinking has long been established as a powerful innovation approach that can help tackle complex problems and steer change in all areas of life. The research and experience reports of many academics in the new anthology illustrate how great the potential of Design Thinking is in education. They present innovative educational approaches in a variety of fields, illuminate them from different angles and open up new perspectives for the education system to readers.
With its own HPI School of Design Thinking, founded in 2007, the Hasso Plattner Institute is Europe's leading hub in the field of Design Thinking. The German version of the book "Design Thinking in der Bildung: Innovation kann man lernen" is published by the scientific publishing house Wiley-VCH and has been available in stores since October 6th, 2021. The editors of the anthology are Professor Christoph Meinel, Director of the Hasso Plattner Institute, and Dr. Timm Krohn, CEO of the HPI Academy, which specialises in further education in the field of Design Thinking. An English edition of the book will be published in 2022.
