Do you want to learn the skills, mindset, and methods to design a sustainable future for society and business? Then apply now for the Design Thinking Basic Track program in the summer semester of 2023. The Basic Track is open for students and graduates of all disciplines and universities. The application deadline is January 31st, 2023.
During your time at HPI D-School, you will learn the innovative Design Thinking approach and apply your knowledge directly to design challenges of our project partners from companies, NGOs, and political institutions.
In a small, multidisciplinary team, you will work with students from all over the world to apply Design Thinking to solve real-world problems.
You will go through all phases of the innovation process and develop creative ideas and human-centered prototypes while being supported by experienced Design Thinking coaches. Together with your team, you'll experience an open culture of experimentation and failure that produces solution-driven innovations with impact.
In addition to building your methodological skills, at HPI D-School, you will be able to grow personally in a safe environment, develop your creative confidence and become part of our vibrant innovation network beyond the course.
Basic Track in the summer semester 2023: Participate on-site or online
In the upcoming summer semester, we will offer the Design Thinking Basic Track in two formats: You can decide whether you would like to participate on-site at the HPI D-School in Potsdam or experience the program in a virtual format.
The program takes place two days per week. It consists of live inputs from our program and coaching team and collaborative teamwork on-site or in the digital space, supported by interactive live coaching sessions. We use different digital tools for both formats, such as the virtual whiteboard "Miro" and our online learning platform "openHPI."
All participants have access to the Design Thinking spaces at the HPI D-School in Potsdam. These workshop rooms are equipped with appropriate technology to work in a hybrid setting.
