Donia Hamdami
Donia Hamdami is of German and Iranian descent. She´s a mentor, lecturer and creative expert in the field of design, education, ethics and innovation.
In 2018 she accepted a professorship for university didactics at the TH OWL in the faculty of architecture, interior design and urban planning.
Since 2013 She has been teaching at HPI D-School and HPI Academy. She´s a graduate of industrial design, University of Wuppertal.
Her passion for the visual arts, space and storytelling led to a further degree in film scenography, design of new media and production design at the Film University Babelsberg.
Her debut feature film "Planet Alex", directed by Uli M. Schüppel, ran at international festivals, among others at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
In addition, Donia Hamdami developed the implementation of psycho-social triggers in artistic imagery for international, advertising campaigns.
She employs Design Thinking as a didactic tool for creative and ecological empowerment, as well as multi-disciplinary team communication.
As "cradle to cradle" (circular economy) ambassador, she supports the "eco-effective concept" of the "next industrial revolution“.
Since 2014 she has been a supporting member of the Flussbad Berlin, a national, urban development project of the Bund Stadtentwicklung und Umwelt, working toward the ecological cleansing of the Spree Canal and its re-use as a public river bath.
Since 2005 she is a shareholder of FC Magnet Mitte GmbH, a community football club and meeting place for lovers of the sport.
