Isabelle Dechamps
The Berlin based product and process designer Isabelle Dechamps is known for her work in the field of social design and design education. She is founder of the non profit organisation “be able e.V.”. The aim of her work is the inclusion and integration of people from marginalized groups. In that sense she ran design programs for people with disabilities, crafts people from ethnic minorities, unemployed people with migration background, refugees and imprisoned people.
Isabelle Dechamps is teaching Industrial design Students from Wentworth Institute of Technology Boston and had several Teaching Commissions at Berlin Weissensee School of Art in the Departments Textile Design and Product Design. Since 2016 she is part of the Coaching Team of the HPI D-School.
She ran projects and workshops in South Africa, Bangladesh, Columbia, Ecuador, Cuba, Vietnam and Indonesia for educational or artistic institutions abroad.
