Within the academic Design Thinking programs at the HPI D-School, students learn creative and networked thinking by working on concrete problems from practice. Over the past 14 years, we have collaborated on over 200 projects with many partner organisations from various industries. Our aim is to introduce students to the methods and mindset of Design Thinking with a broad range of design challenges and at the same time to trigger a cultural change in companies and institutions. Every semester, these collaborations create innovative prototypes, creative ideas and entrepreneurial success stories.
On the HPI D-School Partner Day, we would like to discuss with current and former project partners about the collaboration and experiences with Design Thinking - also beyond the time frame of the student projects. What are the latest developments in their organizations, what challenges do they face when implementing these innovative approaches and why is it worth establishing Design Thinking in the structures and working methods of a company?
To answer these and other questions, we welcome speakers from the Deutschen Institut für Normung e.V., Netzwerk Unternehmen integrieren Flüchtlinge, World Bank Group and H&Mbeyond. In addition, Uli Weinberg, Director of the HPI School of Design Thinking and Claudia Nicolai, Academic Director of the HPI School of Design Thinking will share the latest developments in the Design Thinking community at HPI.
