Appointment procedures are structured selection processes which are carried out in accordance with public law. The procedure begins with the public announcement of the professorship to be filled and, if successful, leads to the university offering the professorship and the candidate accepting it. The aim is to recruit the best candidate in terms of professional qualifications and personal suitability to complement our research and teaching.
