DATE AND PROGRAM
The HPI Summer Party will take place on Friday, July 24, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. on Campus I of the Hasso Plattner Institute. The program starts at 5:30 pm. The event ends at 1:00 pm.
A varied program awaits both young and old – from classic sports tournaments and exciting fun games to culinary highlights at our food trucks. On the stages, singer Paula Carolina, live DJs, and talented HPI bands will provide a great atmosphere

REGISTRATION & TICKETS
Please use the link included in your invitation to register for the HPI Summer Party on July 24. The HPI Summer Party is not a public event. HPI alumni, students and employees will receive their invitation by email.
If you have any questions, please contact the HPI Event Team at sommerfest2026@hpi.de.
HPI alumni, students and employees will receive their invitation by email. After successful registration and confirmation of the registration link, we will send you a digital admission ticket with QR code to the e-mail address provided. This will happen within 5 working days. This will give you access to the summer party grounds on the day of the event.
Tickets for underage children
Your underage children do not need to be registered separately and do not require a ticket.
Can't find your ticket? Please check your spam folder. If your ticket cannot be found there either within a week of registration, please contact sommerfest2026@hpi.de.
To change the name of a guest, please proceed as follows:
- Once the registration has been confirmed, you can click the “View details” button in the confirmation email. There you can click the “Change guest details” button and enter the new guest information.
- Don’t forget to save your changes.
- Please note that no additional accompanying persons can be added later on.
- Afterwards, you will receive an updated confirmation email including the current ticket.
- Changes are possible until July 20, 2026 at 11:59 PM.
ADMISSION AND IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
The entrance gates will be located between House A and House K.
We ask that you only leave the Summer Party grounds in an emergency or when you really want to go home. Re-entry is only possible after another security check.
Please only bring the essentials to the Summer Party and allow some time for bag checks at the entrance. For security reasons, we kindly ask you to only bring bags up to A4 size. Storage cannot be guaranteed, so please leave them in the office or at home.
We would like to inform you that, in addition to sharp objects and intoxicants, any type of drinking bottle must be handed over to security personnel at the entrance. This includes glass bottles, thermos flasks, hard plastic bottles, as well as disposable cups. In other words, anything that could potentially be used as a projectile or weapon.
There will no cloakroom service and no lockers available at the HPI Summer Party 2026.

Payment for food and drinks at the Summer Party is made in cash, in some cases by EC card and tokens.
How do I register?
To participate as a volleyball or soccer team in the HPI Summer Party tournament, please register your team here:
Both tournaments (volleyball & soccer) start at 17:00 and last until shortly after 19:30.
The award ceremony for the HPI sports tournaments will take place around 20:20. Showers will be provided on the grounds so that you do not have to leave the summer party grounds.
We ask all participants to adhere to the following Code of Conduct to ensure a respectful, inclusive and enjoyable experience at HPI events for everyone.
If you experience any violations of the Code of Conduct as visitor of the Summer Party, please contact our Awareness Team, which is present on campus.
In case of violations of general or personal safety, please contact the security staff. In case of medical emergencies, our paramedics will help you at any time.
HPI Summer Party Code of Conduct
The HPI stands for tolerance, respect, and openness. Discrimination, harassment, or misconduct of any kind has no place on our campus.
We ask all participants to adhere to the following Code of Conduct to ensure a respectful, inclusive and enjoyable experience at HPI events for everyone.
- Respect for All: Treat everyone with respect, regardless of race, accent, religion, age, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, or other personal traits.
- Inclusivity: Collaborate inclusively and embrace working with others while valuing their diverse personal traits.
- Safety: Foster the physical and emotional safety of all by maintaining an environment free of threats and assaults.
- Appropriate Behavior: Use respectful and appropriate language and behavior that everyone can find suitable and polite.
- Personal Boundaries: Respect personal space and accept a “NO” as a definitive refusal of specific behaviors.
- Consent for Media: Respect preferences of others regarding photography, filming, or recording by obtaining clear consent beforehand.
- Positive Interaction: Engage with work and experiences of others in a positive and supportive manner, avoiding sarcasm and irony.
- Constructive Feedback: Provide and welcome constructive feedback, being mindful of its potential impact on others.
- Support and Stand Up: Advocate against violations of this Code of Conduct and support others in doing so, fostering a spirit of respect within the community.
- Reporting and Accountability: Report any violations of this Code of Conduct to event organizers or the Awareness Team. Incidents can also be reported anonymously by the Incident Response System. All reports will be handled confidentially and promptly.
Participants violating this Code of Conduct may be asked to leave the event without a refund at the sole discretion of the event organizers and may also be banned from attending future HPI events.

Photo and film recordings (including sound) will be made during the event. These recordings will be used to document the event and for the press and public relations work of the Hasso Plattner Institute and the Hasso Plattner Foundation. The legal basis is therefore the legitimate interest of the organizer (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).
If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please contact the photographer or cameraman/camerawoman directly.

Special Regulations - HPI Summer Party 2026
These notes supplement Hasso Plattner Institute’s general privacy policy and apply exclusively to registration for and participation in the HPI Summer Party
Personal data is processed for the purpose of organizing and conducting the event on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (registration and participation in the event) as well as Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the proper organization and execution of the event).
For the organization and execution of the event, the Hasso Plattner Institute uses the event management platform “guestoo” provided by code piraten GmbH, Dürener Straße 295–297, 50935 Cologne. Personal data is processed solely on behalf of the Hasso Plattner Institute and on the basis of a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
Your data will not be shared with third parties unless this is required by law or necessary for the execution of the event. In this context, we use service providers bound by instructions (e.g., guestoo) as data processors.
You may withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. In addition, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data. Personal data collected as part of the event registration will generally be deleted within 3 months after the event and the completion of its organizational follow-up, unless statutory retention obligations require otherwise.
Any information offered by post and / or e-mail or other given consent of any kind can be revoked with effect for the future at:
