Ms. Saeedeh Momtazi Assistant Professor at the Amirkabir University of Technology in Tehran, Iran is working with Dr. Ralf Krestel around two month on a project in the field of fake news detection with a focus on cross-lingual models for German. Saeedehs research stay is funded by the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD).
Her main research interest is Natural Language Processing (NLP). In the joint project, she is working on fake news detection. She has worked on this task for three years and published two journal papers on English fake news detection [1,2]. She also participated in a project for Persian fake news detection which resulted in a new dataset and a product called TAJ, as well as a journal paper on Persian fake news detection [3].
