From August 16-20, 2021, the world's largest conference in database systems, the 47th International Conference on Very Large Data Base (VLDB), took place in Copenhagen as a hybrid conference.
VLDB is a premier annual international forum for data management and database researchers, vendors, practitioners, application developers, and users. The VLDB 2021 conference features research talks, tutorials, demonstrations, and workshops. It covers issues in data management, database and information systems research, since they are the technological cornerstones of the emerging applications of the 21st century.
Scientific leaders of the conference this year were HPI Professor Felix Naumann and Xin Luna Dong, Head Scientist at Facebook. Also participating from HPI are: Professor Tilmann Rabl, as PhD Workshop Chair and Dr. Thorsten Papenbrock, as Proceedings Chair.
