Dr. Feng Cheng is now Senior Researcher at Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI), Germany, heading the IT Security Engineering (Sec-Eng) Team. He is also the Representative (Lehrstuhlvertreter) of the Chair "Internet Technologies and Systems" at the Digital Engineering Faculty (DEF), University of Potsdam (Uni Potsdam), His research is mainly focused on data-driven security engineering, security analytics, network security, (multi-)Cloud Security, firewall, IDS/IPS, attack modeling and penetration testing, etc. Now, he is conducting research, development and teaching activities around new technologies of Cybersecurity at HPI/Uni-Potsdam. He has been the principal investigator and project manager for many research projects in the area of IT security, including the project “Physical Separation and its Lock-Keeper Implementation”, which was commercialized as a product by Siemens Switzerland (now with Atos) in 2005. He has published over 100 papers in the international conferences and Journals. He served as (co-)chair, coordinator, program committee member, and reviewer for many international conferences and workshops. He holds BEng. from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (BUAA), MEng. from Beijing University of Technology (BJUT), and PhD from University of Potsdam (Uni Potsdam).
