Why MediaTech?

MediaTech is an integral part of our everyday lives. We interact consciously and subconsciously with media technologies to get informed, supported or entertained.

MediaTech combines various emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, image and text recognition with fields like Journalism, Education, the Gaming Industry and many more.

Since 2017 Potsdam is Germanys digital Hub for MediaTech. Accordingly, the Hasso Plattner Institute, the University of Potsdam and the Film University Babelsberg work together to foster Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

What to expect?

The HPI E-School will be hosting this year's bootcamp dedicated to the topic "MediaTech" from December 6 to December 8, 2019.

During the three days, business ideas around the topic MediaTech will be introduced and developed, teams built, prototypes created and tested. You will learn about topics such as idea and value propositions, business model development, customer-focused product development, prototyping, and pitching. Moreover, you will practically implement your learnings in small workshops.

Participants thus have the opportunity to work on their own or another person's business idea in a focused and intensive manner, to get feedback and to interact with and get to know like-minded people. Furthermore, experienced coaches will guide you through your journey and you will get hands-on feedback from a jury of investors and entrepreneurs. But above all, you will have fun while being extremely creative!

What else awaits you? Experienced entrepreneurs as keynote speakers, interesting learning sessions, tasty food, craft beer, a retro gaming and chilling area, mini games, great partners and jury members and cool prizes.

And if that's not enough, at the end of the bootcamp, you can continue your work on the business idea supported by the E-School team. It is also possible to apply for financial support from the HPI Seed Fund. These downstream offers bolster the implementation of the business model in the real world.
