Climate change and rising electricity and gas prices are good reasons to reduce your own energy consumption. However, many people find this difficult. The concept of green nudging is intended to help. But what is green nudging and how can this approach contribute to more sustainable behavior? Prof. Dr. Falk Uebernickel, Head of the research group "Design Thinking and Innovation Research", and Vincent Beermann, PhD student and research associate at the Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI), talk about this.

Increasing electricity and gas prices and climate change are two good reasons to reduce one's own energy consumption. However, many people still find it difficult to fundamentally change their own behavior. The concept of Green Nudging is intended to promote more sustainable behavior in society by means of nudging (meaning "nudging" a decision in a certain direction). Prof. Dr. Falk Uebernickel and PhD student Vincent Beermann from the Design Thinking and Innovation Research department at HPI are working on this approach in their research. In the new episode of the HPI Science Podcast Neuland, they talk with host Leon Stebe about how the concept of green nudging works and how it can help save energy.
