Book presentation "Design Thinking in der Bildung: Innovation kann man lernen" on November 9th, 2021

HPI Director Prof. Christoph Meinel and Dr. Timm Krohn, CEO of the HPI Academy, presented the new anthology  "Design Thinking in der Bildung: Innovation kann man lernen" (Design Thinking in Education: Innovation can be learned) together with contributing authors and discussed the potential the innovation approach has in education. As moderator, Prof. Ulrich Weinberg, Director, HPI School of Design Thinking, encouraged the panelists to contribute from various perspectives in a manner that illuminated the exciting work being done at HPI, the HPI Academy and at the Design Thinking schools in South Africa and Chile.  In the riveting conversation, many synergies were acknowledged and discussed.

The panelists were agreed that the tools outlined in the volume offer a valuable toolbox for educators and practitioners in many different contexts. The virtual and in-person audience was encouraged to pick and choose concrete tools from the learnings elaborated on in the book and apply these learnings in their own particular contexts.

The champagne reception provided the various researchers and practitioners in the audience the chance to connect with the panelists and celebrate the publication of the German language version of the volume.  The English language version will be available in early 2022.  The event was livestreamed and is available on Teletask: https://www.tele-task.de/series/1372/. Please note that the event was held in German.
