In the symposium, organised by senior researcher Dr. Julia von Thienen, an outlook is provided on neurodesign courses that will be offered at the HPI beginning in October 2019. These courses thrive from the contributions of internationally recognized experts at the intersection of neuroscience, creativity and engineering.
At the symposium, several speakers from Stanford and Potsdam offer personal perspectives on the topic of neurodesign and what this implies for their own contributions in the upcoming curriculum. In a panel-and-audience discussion with several chair representatives of the HPI and guests from Stanford, we explore the potential of bringing even more engineering expertise in the emerging field of neurodesign. Ideas about data sharing will then be explored in a workshop, as a possible first step to help researchers from different domains learn from and with each other.
