“Shaping the Future of Entrepreneurship in Germany and the United States” will bring together startups founded by HPI alumni with students from Tenafly High School and the German International School of Silicon Valley. The high school students will have the opportunity to learn about the companies and acquire a better understanding about entrepreneurship as a career through interviews with the company founders. The interviews will be uploaded to a website, which will act as a repository of information to be accessed by journalists, investors, businesspeople, students, teachers, professors, and others. In addition, the website as well as the social media campaign that supplements the uploading of each interview will provide the companies increased visibility.
Not only will US-based high school students become familiar with Germany’s innovative startup ecosystem, this project will give the students access to individuals who are integrating emerging technologies into their products. Their teachers as well as educators from other schools and universities will have the opportunity to integrate information from the interviews into their lesson plans, e.g. applications of machine learning and digital twins.
And perhaps some of these high school students will decide to study at HPI one day, intern at one of the companies, or simply travel to Germany to learn more about the country.
