IT-Gipfelblogger (“IT summit bloggers“) from Hasso Plattner Institute Interview Prominent CeBIT Guests

A team of computer science students from exhibitor Hasso Plattner Institute (https://hpi.de) will be reporting from the world’s largest IT fair in Hannover on the platform www.it-gipfelblog.de online, whether on topics like the opening ceremony, CeBIT global conference or Future Talk. Short interviews with leading politicians, top managers and prominent scientists will be conducted by the team and made immediately available online as video podcasts at the news desk in Hall 9, Stand D44. Students will also be posting their tweets from CeBIT on the HPI’s Facebook page. HPI bachelor student Markus Petrykowski (22) plans to participate. Chancellor Angela Merkel had asked Petrykowski to interview her for a video that preceded the eighth national IT summit last October in Hamburg.

Chancellor Merkel launched the summit series in 2006 with a special event at HPI in Potsdam and is “Fellow” of the university institute. From then on the blog has been maintained by  the Potsdam elite forge for IT engineers. At the summit meeting in Hannover in 2007, in Darmstadt 2008, in Stuttgart 2009, in Dresden 2010, in Munich 2011, in Essen 2012 and in Hamburg 2014, HPI students also reported on location per live stream on behalf of the German government. The IT Gipfelblog (“summit blog”) with its interview videos, documentation and news has been accessed more than seven million times. Over 1,000 selected text and video contributions reflect public interest, and also lead the wide-ranging discussion between national IT summits about the IT location Germany.
