On more than 170m² of floor space, HPI shows how the analysis of social media messages, like those sent on Twitter, makes not only taking public transportation easier but also acquiring new business clients. Anyone who has ever thought about training students, employees, or clients via online courses, can try out, at our booth, the possibilities offered at our HPI platform “MOOC House”. At our “green screen” visitors can practice in front of a live camera and see how easy it is to create and deploy short learning videos. HPI ensures that its user data stays at servers in Germany.
The main focus of HPI’s appearance at this year’s CeBIT is the “Future SOC Lab”. This top research lab in Potsdam is not only available to its own HPI scientists, but also to universities and research institutes worldwide free of charge. Companies can take advantage of the high performance infrastructure together with their university partners. A computer cluster with 1000 cores and the SAP in-memory database HANA enable innovative projects, such those as in the areas of cloud computing, parallel processing, and in-memory databases.
