The Corona Pandemic has presented the Hasso Plattner Institute with new challenges in recent months as well. In the summer semester, for the first time, teaching could only take place online. Even exams with students in Germany and abroad had to be held digitally in some cases, as did numerous events, camps and workshops. An internal survey showed that the majority of the students got along well with online teaching. So our joint efforts have paid off.
Due to the dynamic nature of the disease and the increasing number of infections, current rules and safety precautions can change very quickly. Therefore, please be aware:
- In case of a suspected or confirmed infection with the coronavirus, please notify us:
Edgar Volkmar, specialist for occupational safety (edgar.volkmar(at)hpi.de)
- HPI staff and students can find information about new developments and decisions on the intranet
- Outlook for the winter semester 2021/22: Various teaching models are currently being discussed for the winter semester, although the exact situation in the fall cannot be predicted at the moment. The goal is to return to face-to-face teaching if possible. Therefore, students should plan to be in Potsdam and especially: to get vaccinated.
