The Corona Pandemic has presented the Hasso Plattner Institute with new challenges in recent months as well. In the summer semester, for the first time, teaching could only take place online. Even exams with students in Germany and abroad had to be held digitally in some cases, as did numerous events, camps and workshops. An internal survey showed that the majority of the students got along well with online teaching. So our joint efforts have paid off.
Due to the dynamic nature of the disease and the increasing number of infections, current rules and safety precautions can change very quickly. Therefore, please be aware:
- In case of a suspected or confirmed infection with the coronavirus, please notify us:
Edgar Volkmar, specialist for occupational safety (edgar.volkmar(at)hpi.de)
- HPI staff and students can find information about new developments and decisions on the intranet
- Winter semester 2021/22: In order to ensure the safety of all students and lecturers and not to jeopardize face-to-face teaching, only fully vaccinated and recovered students will be allowed to attend courses from Monday, 22.11.2021, initially until the end of the year. If there are any questions regarding the continuation of the courses they have taken, unvaccinated students are welcome to contact the instructors of those courses to clarify how to proceed if there is no online offering for the course. There is no entitlement to a virtual offering.
