Promoting Digitalization in Schools with the School Cloud

In cooperation with the Minister of Education and Research and the school network MINT-EC, HPI experts are developing the “School Cloud,” in which digital teaching and learning contents will be held centrally. With the School Cloud, an interactive learning and teaching infrastructure will be created and thereby make it easier for students, teachers, and parents to access digital educational content any time via the Internet—anytime, anywhere.

This saves time and money. Schools no longer need to acquire their own computers nor to install or administer networks. It suffices to have Internet access, a web browser, and an input device. Then, with the proper authorization, it is possible to get the latest content for all subjects from the net and to use it in a lesson, at home, or while on the go.

The School Cloud is intended to enable young people to prepare themselves optimally for life in an increasingly digitized society. The School Cloud 2017 will enter its pilot phase with a total of 25 schools in the MINT-EC Excellence school network.
