New international study program at HPI

Starting in October, a new English-language master's program will begin at the Hasso Plattner Institute: Software Systems Engineering. In the new master, students explore the innovation potential of modern technologies and develop future-relevant business ideas. In addition to artificial intelligence and the design of interactive systems, the master's program also includes machine learning and data engineering.

Scholarships for Software Systems Engineering

This scholarship program offers you the opportunity to continue your academic education in Germany with a postgraduate course of study in Software Systems Engineering (M.Sc.).

The scholarships are exclusively for excellent foreign students with a first academic degree. They cover the financing of the study stay in Germany as well as the semester fees at the University of Potsdam.

The new Master's program "Software Systems Engineering" is the fifth master's degree program of the Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI). The science and research-oriented course of study is geared to the growing demand in business, science and society for excellently trained IT specialists who do not shy away from management and leadership positions.

The focus of the program is on the planning, analysis and development of software systems and the necessary concepts, methods, techniques and procedures.

"In the English-language master's program in Software Systems Engineering, we can offer students excellent teaching, supervision and research conditions. Students can deal intensively with the most relevant topics of digital transformation and deepen their expertise. In addition to scientific work, we teach them key qualifications that are relevant for a wide variety of career paths. Graduates draw from the teaching the tools for innovative research and successful startup ideas," says program officer and head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems Prof. Dr. Gerard de Melo.

Since April 1, bachelor's graduates can apply for the first time for the winter semester 2022 for the new study program.
