Gesundheitscloud becomes data4life: HPI initiative develops into nonprofit digital health organization

Total control and self-determination in digital health

Gesundheitscloud, initiated as a project by the Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI) in 2016, allows people to store and make better use of their health data on a secure platform. Gesundheitscloud makes it possible for users to mindfully share their health data with doctors, health apps, family, friends or other persons of trust. Appropriate security precautions ensure that health data is protected against misuse and treated ethically.

With Gesundheitscloud HPI has established a patient-centered health platform. Since 2017, the health platform has been operated as an independent nonprofit organization, funded by the Hasso Plattner Foundation. In April 2019, Gesundheitscloud became data4life.
